It would be a cross between Brother's Grim and Bulletproof Munk.
I am in, I think it could be done really well. Also Natalie is a very good looking actress.

I'm still trying to picture Natalie singing "Someday my prince will come" and the 7 martial arts dudes singing "Whistle While You Work."

    This ain't working for me.

It does, however, feed my ambition to become a writer. Because if the bought THIS story...my gosh. They'll buy ANYTHING.

Have you not been to the movies in the last ten years?

No where is it said that this movie will be a musical. IMO this movie appears to be a unique and imaginative break from the drivel that Hollywood usually makes.

Re: Disney Corners Jet Li For "Snow White and the Seven Warriors"

I realize the article mentions the company but - what exactly does this have to do with Disney? Disney wouldn't release a Jet Li martial arts film with their label on it - even if it was theirs, they'd release it through whatever label it is they use for non-kid movies these days. And this movie sounds like an adaptation of Snow White, yes, but Disney hardly owns that fairy tale, it was around long before they were. This seems like ignorant reporting. I'd love to know if Disney actually has anything to do with this at all or if that's just a lazy way of avoiding researching the fairy tale to find out where it actually came from.

And at any rate, liking this film seems dependent on whether you like cheesy martial arts movies in general. Generally, I do. Although, Natalie Portman has all the personality of a cardboard cutout in her acting... but I rather like Jet Li.

^I was thinking the exact same thing PRS. Disney does not own Snow White and probably wouldn't allow their songs for a martial arts film. I think we need more facts here.

Okay...wow...I guess Snow White is the popular princess of choice latley because there is another "version" of Snow White called Sydney White and the Seven Dorks starring Amanda Bynes which comes out in September of this year. I personally think that Sydney White looks very adorable, but this movie with Jet Li and Natalie Portman sounds a little iffy to me.

From that description, Sydney White sounds absolutely horrible.

Disney is the one putting this out, most likely through one of it's other labels (Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, or Miramax)

and I'm still looking forward to it.

Well, I didn't exactly give a description. I only gave the title of the movie so I don't know if one can exactly judge something just by it's title. But hey, that's just my opinion.

This sounds like it could be very interesting -- if it's done well. I'm looking forward to hearing more news in the future.

I suggest they make "Snow White and the Seven Gigolo"

A new action pack comedy+Sci fi with Matrix like special effects

they could use Rob Schneider from Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo

There is already a Japanese Version adapted (or twisted) from "Snow White and the seven dwarfs" called "Gigolo Wannabe"

    Video Clip from Youtube
