Yep. Got some on DVD, too.
And a british woman I used to work with didn't much enjoy it. She said it was an old people's show -- it's the kind of show her mother watched.
I was usually the one to help her get all the britishness around Ohio and keep up with the latest in England. Quite odd, really. I'm american that's never been off the continent...
Love this show. I have the entire DVD box set. It's shown primarily on local PBS stations, and BBC America.
Admittedly, it's a one-note joke, and not every episode is a success. But IMO, Patricia Routledge is simply hilarious to watch, even if the plots run thin at times.
Candlelight supper, anyone? I believe the Councillor Mrs. Nugent will be making an appearance.
Or my personal favorite, an "Outdoor-Indoor luxury barbecue with finger buffet". I want to live my life like her. ;)
Cute enough show, but given the choice I'd rather watch "Waiting forGod" or "Vicar of Dibley". Don't know if those are still on the air or not.
"It's Boo-KAY!"
"Vicar of Dibley" very cute. Never much liked "Waiting for God" (now that's an old person show). "As Time Goes By" was good. It is another old person show but I like Dame Judy. My favorite Old Person's Show: "One Foot in the Grave".
It used to be on all the time, but it's been harder for me to find it lately. How cool that it's your home town, Speedway.
i'm not much for british shows....but i love this show the funniest episode was when haycenth [spelling] was parking cars at the bring and buy sale
My dad and I used to watch that! Aww.
I have seen a couple of episodes. I like it but prefer "Are You Being Served" and "Coupling".
I've seen a few episodes on BBC America. It's ok but I like My Family better.
