    Fantastic Four

Okay, so we've been having a pretty good run as far as Comic book movies go... but the more I see of the Fantastic Four, the worse it looks. I'll still watch it, but I going into the theatre a bit skeptical.

To make matters worse, RottenTomatoes.com has given Fantastic Four a 21% Fresh rate. Rottentomatoes.com, for those that don't know, is a site that collects all the reviews on a certain movie, and gives it a percentage. Anything above 60% is considered Fresh, anything lower is considered Rotten.

Out of 14 reviews, only 3 were positive. As the weekend progresses, more and more reviews get added, but the average score for Fantastic Four is 4.5 out of 10. So what do you think? I think this might be 2005's Hulk...

It couldn't be worse than Daredevil, Elecktra, Catwoman or the Punisher! Oh wait it could.

    Re: Fantastic Four

Here's some reasons why it will do well:
Fox is on a serious role w/ Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Mr. & Mrs. Smith rockin' at the box office
    and from yesterday's USA Today:
Already, distributor 20th Century Fox has committed to two Fantastic Four sequels. At least 60 companies have merchandising tie-ins with the film. And Hollywood is hoping it can finally get a new comic franchise off the ground.

Marvel Studios chief Avi Arad says the wait will be worth it.

"This isn't like the other (comic-book) movies," he says. "It's not so dark. It's funny. It will be the feel-good movie of the summer."

Or simply put for mall-speak megaplexes:
The Hulk Jennifer Connelly=hot but Eric Bana=hot&green
    whereas F.Fs Chris Evans= hot, Jessica Alba=hot, Julian Machanon=hot, Ioan Gruffudd=hot
    Michael Chiklis=hot& orange

Doing well and being a good movie are not necessarily related.

Most of the cast are unknowns.
The Thing looks like an orange Michellin Man.
    The trailers have been uninteresting.

I don't have high hopes about this one.

    Looks boring.

I think Fantastic 4 looks pretty craptastic, even by my very low entertainment standards. I was planning to see it just because Jessica Alba really does something for me, but I don't think even she can make this one worthwhile for me. Meh.

The main cast is pretty popular. But I think I'm going mainly for the special effects. I just can't buy Jessica Alba as a scientist in glasses anymore than Tara Reid!

Doom's mask is dumber looking than Green Goblin's...

Alba's full-body force field thing looks like she's having an orgasm...

    Johnny acts like an idiot...

    This movie is gonna bite.

Now that I think of it, it does! Ack! Yeah, I think this movie rates rental, not theatre for me. I wanna see what Chicklis does with the Thing's agony over his appearance simply because he's a great actor. That's really the only thing that looks worth it, and that's not even worth nine bucks plus popcorn.
The King is back and he's ready to kick some tail. Do not mess with a mouse in black.

Such potential with this one, the early script really followed and did the comics justice but as usual the studios and producers changed it way to much. Looks like garbage. Nowadays making comic book movies are almost guaranteed $$$, and it seems that less and less heart is being put into the scripts, casting choices, and other aspects. Thank god for Chris Nolan, and Sam Raimi they're making what all comic movies should be like. (Brad Bird too)

I forgot about Mr. Fantastic, but apparently, he's from some drama series.
