Smile If You Could Spend The Night In A Landmark...

    Hey there MiceChatters!

Earlier tonight my partner, Robert, and I got into a discussion about which landmark we would like to spend the night in if given the chance.

I, personally, would love to spend the night in either one of the Egyptian pyramids, atop the Eiffel Tower, or inside a jail cell at Alcatraz in San Francisco. All three of these locations would equally give a unique feeling and aura.

So, which landmark would you want to spend the night in if given the chance? Would it be a very well known one such as the Eiffel Tower or the Egyptian Pyramids? Would it be a not-so-well-known place? Or how about a local landmark in your hometown that only locals would know about?

    Let the chatting begin!

Re: If You Could Spend The Night In A Landmark...

    Interesting question.

I am not sure I would want to spend a night sleeping in any landmark.

But, if I could stay in a landmark all night it would be Grauman's Chinese Theater. Preferably with some friends and someone to work the projection booth and the concession stand.

My second choice would be "The Hollywood Sign" just because I have always wanted to stand next to it- but security frowns on that. I would love to see what view that sign has! I have been to Yamashiro (a restuarant high above Hollywood- but way below the sign click here) and that view is amazing.

My third choice would have been the Hollywood Entertainment Museum's Cheers set. It was the actual (and entire) set from TV's Cheers.

It's closed and the set is in storage, but I watched a few football games there in 2003 when they used to open for Monday Night Football. I wish I could go back.

Outside of Hollywood my top choice would have to be The White House. That would be awesome.

The pyramids or Alcatraz would creep me out to no end.

Eiffel Tower for me. My livingroom is a shrine to it! Either that or a nice, cushy bed at Buckingham Palace.

I would love to stay in the Louvre. Have all those works of art to myself and be able to see them at my leisure!

Where would you sleep in the Eiffel Tower? All I know of it I learned from the Superman movies.
Does it have any interior space?

I'll pick a Smithsonian museum. Fun, entertaining... beds.

Or I might pick the castle of Vlad the Impaler. Nice cheerful home.

I know there's the elevators that take you to the top where the observation section is. I would either sleep up there in a sleeping bag, or I suppose I could sleep in the elevator (of course at the very top that is).

    Mesa Verde National Park

Spend the night in one of the cliff dwellings. Cliff palace would be cool.

I had the opportunity to stay at Alcatraz once because my dad was friends with one of the Park Rangers. Obviously, it didn't pan out, because of my work.
I'm sure it would have been a surreal experience.

The Main Street Train Station at Disneyland

Umm, I would have to say probably Alcatraz cause I'd be intrigued on seeing if it's 'haunted.'
