It's not the orignial Evie.....I thought the original cast was supposed to be in this one??? I love the Mummy movies - definately keepers!
Yeah, the Mummy films are great! Bummer though that Maria Bello will be playing Evie instead of Rachel Weisz (not that Maria might not be good, but I LOVE Rachel Weisz!)
RUMOR has it (and don't quote me on this) Rachel was interested in doing the movie, but back out because she thought the script was awful. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

I am so skeptical about this movie you have no idea. I am a HUGE Mummy fan, so much so that I re-decorated my room Egyptian style, have seen the first movie over 150 times, and the evie in my evieelizabeth name comes from Rachel Weisz's character. And I am honestly upset that Universal green-lighted this without Rachel Weisz and Steven Sommers. I have also read the reports about the script being horrible. I wish that Universal would actually have had the sense to wait to make a 3rd one until a good enough script came about instead of saying "Okay!" to anything old thing; the only reason being of course is that they are desperate for money and are going to milk any franchise that they have under their belt for all its worth and not care about the quality of the films.

Oh man, I can't believe that they cast Maria Bello as Evie! Couldn't they have at least tried to get the same "type" as Rachel Weiss? My hubby is going to be sooo dissapointed!
On a side note...it says that Brendan Frasier got buff for this one. Now, that sounds promising.
Hate to be the party pooper but I expect this movie to be bad.
Now, I'll turn that little mouse's dream into a nightmare Fantasmic!
From what I have read, it seems like Alex will be featured more and Rick and Evie will be taking a bit of a backseat.
