    Post Real Walt Disney fans

I am looking for the Real admirers of the man Walt Disney, Not the fans of characters he helped create, not fans of the theme parks, and not fans of the company. I want to know who really loves the man? I do not get to check this sight very often and I will go into greater detail later when I have a better idea of the answer to the question posted above.

thank you for attention I look forward to reading your responces.

    Re: Real Walt Disney fans

I would consider myself a fan of Walt. Not so much as saying that I worship him or anything, but he lived an interesting life none the less. I am very interested in everything he did during WWI and WWII. To me, those were the most interesting times during his life. Unfortunatly, WWI is when he took up the habit of smoking, which later caused his death .

But Walt: The Man Behind the Myth is the best DVD I have ever seen. It's a tear jerker for sure. Second to that is "Walt Disney Studios on the Frontlines" from the Disney Treasures collection. Leonard Maltin provided such interesting information about things Walt, and the studio, went through during WWII

Kind of a bizarre question. I'm a fan of the man, due to what he did with his animation, and theme parks and brand he created.

I admire him very much. He was a genius in what he did and what he accomplished. His dreams became a reality and he provided a way to make other people's dreams come true.

" ...a source of joy and inspiration to all the world." Walt Disney was human, but never the less extraordinary. He experienced the many hardships of an up and coming person with a dream. To see what he achieved and how he did it is of huge inspiration to me. Also identifying with and agreeing in how a childs imagination can be the most wonderful thing and how telling a story can be done in so many different ways. His ideals and morals is something in which we both share and with his passing I hope to continue on...

I'm a fan of Walt, although I never met him. I used to read biographies of him when I was a kid, and I own the Walt: The Man Behind The Myth DVD. I've always found him a fascinating person.

Count me among the fans of Uncle Walt.
"Yesterday, a man walked up to me and said, 'Isn't it a shame that Walt Disney couldn't be here to see this?' and I said, "He did see this, that's why it's here."

Walt Disney is my hero. I've read most of the biography's written about him. I think it's inspiring what he accomplished. He left behind this amazing legacy, and not just with the parks, but the message that he left, that if you work for it, your dreams really can come true. He also has some wonderful messages about adoption, and since I'm adopted, those always get to me. But that man is amazing. How to be Like Walt is one of my favorite books about him.

Having never met him, I cannot say that I know him personally. From all the people I do know who met WITH him directly and from every single piece of literature I could get my hands on. I do admire the man, whole heartedly.

    Re: Real Walt Disney fans

    Who LOVES him?????

Maybe you should just write a letter to Diane Disney Miller,
or interview some of the people who worked with him face
to face, Art Linkletter, Roy Disney, Blaine Gibson, Alice Davis,
    etc.

Now, if you area just asking what we admire about Walt as
an individual ~ THAT is a completely different question ~ although
it would still be better to ask people who actually talked to Walt
face to face. Most of us here have only had chance to admire
    him from a distance:

his ingenuity, creativity, and ability to see talents in individuals,
that they didn't know they had inside, the way he was always
looking for a better way to do all things, and doing it better than
anyone else, the ability to see way into the future, and the ability
to make things happen, those are just a few things

They sell it at the park in the music shop. Seeing Ollie tear up when he talks about Walt's passing gets me every time.
