Disneyland finally 'fessed up, admitting Friday what hard-core fans have been saying for weeks.

"The subs are coming back," said Jay Rasulo, president of Walt Disney's Parks and Resorts division.

Disneyland fans have been speculating for months that the classic Tomorrowland submarine ride would return. But, Disney officials remained quiet until Friday.

Tom Fitzgerald, senior creative executive for Walt Disney's Imagineering division, said park officials have been waiting for the right opportunity to reinvent the submarine ride.

"When 'Finding Nemo' came out, that's when the light bulb came on," Fitzgerald said.
