That's correct, TinkerBell. It won for Best Musical!!! I can't wait to see it in Vegas.

BMG will be out by September, Hairspray will be in by October. Around the same time Hairspray opens, BMG at the Venietien will open with new material.

They are keeping Rods & Cones, but they are adding some more lines of music to it, so it's fresh. Another new skit they are going to do is TV Heads, where the Blue Men wear plasmas on their heads, and thus the TVs display the Blue Men heads. Well, everything is cool, until a Blue Man gets a remote...

Generally speaking, musicals in Vegas are nothing new. Anyone remember MADhatten, or Starlight Express at the Hilton? It's just that now there are more and more hotels being built, and that means more and more show space to feature top-quality shows. Since Vegas can only duplicate itself so many times, musicals provide a variety within its own genre that can make each show appear fresh. And now with the dissapearance of the kids themes (TI, etc.) causes the individual hotels to find bigger and better reasons for guests to visit.
