    Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D

I just went to see NBC in 3-D last night and it was outstanding! I loved it. New appreciation for a film that I already really enjoyed over the years.

Anyone else go and don your 3-D glasses this weekend?? I wish I could see it at the El Cap, but, considering I live in the northwest...that was impossible!

I saw it last year when I got my eyes replaced and I could see and in 3-D again. It was the first film I went to after the surgery and I loved it. I plan to go back again this year, hopefully to the El Capitan again. It's a lot of fun and the 3-D is excellent. To me it was like watching a whole new film.

    Re: Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D

Saw the 3D version again on Saturday morning.
(I also saw it last year at the El Capitan in 3D)

I've grown to like the movie more, since it was
first shown in theaters. First time I saw the movie
my biggest complaint was that there was TOO
MUCH MUSIC. Hardly and part of it had regular
old fashioned dialog. The movie is still WAY TOO
DARK for me to place it on my "top favorites" list.
But it really has become one of those holiday classics.

Oh, this is the 2nd time I've been in a theater where
a least one kid has screamed out loud in fright, due to
some of the 3D that was added. Wouldn't suggest
taking smaller kids to see it in theaters.

And did anyone notice that the ticket price has an extra $2 added on for those glasses?

    Re: Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D

The local theatre here recently switched to digital projectors so we actually got it this year. Last year I drove 5 hours to the nearest theatre to see it. The way I see it is that the 3D isn't really all that great but it's a welcome improvement that does make it a fun experience.

I plan on seeing it a couple more times.
    What an idiot....

Yeah, I do that Twitter thing.

Yep, I noticed! ha! But, we went to the 6 PM showing which is normally more than the matinee, but, the matinee was also $12.00.

I want to see it again too. I felt like the faces and everything were so much clearer. I just loved it and have a brand new appreciation for it!!!

I saw it this weekend. The 3-D didn't really add much. If you're looking for Jack or Oogie Boogie to throw stuff out of the screen, you won't find it here. But the movie looks great as a digital projection and is still very entertaining!

    Re: Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D

Saw it twice this weekend actually and was going to check for a thread to talk about it on (leave it to the Roundup to find it for me ^_~)

Anyway, the first time we watched it we were in the first row (we showed up late and the theater was packed)
    A very interesting experience.
I couldn't help noticing all the little details at that close of a level (like you were in the movie). Also it made it easy to see all the little mistakes that make Stop Motion so interesting (hair and clothing moving when it shouldn't, an entire car moving down and around in the back ground, people dissapearing).
This might be annoying to others or make one think that there was a strong wind throughout Halloween Town but as a hard-core Nightmare fan it was a very different experience. If anything it made me love the movie more!

That first showing was also interesting because it felt like the crowd had 1) never seen the movie before and 2) never seen a 3D movie before.

    Thought I'd share

I saw it in Everett. I think it may be gone soon. Sorry I didn't answer sooner. I think it's also in Monroe, but, that's REALLY far for you. (As is Everett!)

We went to go see it this weekend and I loved it! The depth the 3D gives it is awesome! I was able to notice more than I do when I watch at home and I've watched that movie over 100 times.
It was hard to just sit and be quiet though. I usually sing the songs to my daughters but this time I couldn't.

    Re: Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D

I thought the quality of the 3-D and picture was better this year than it was last year.. .I saw it at the El Cap. both times... Either way I love this movie and have loved it since I was a child and saw it new in the theatre.. I still have the original button that they gave out when we watched it brand new...
