    Question Old Disney Holiday specials

When I was a kid my world would stop when there was a Disney special on TV. The Christmas and Easter Parades were required viewing for me. I even remember specials for the Fourth of July and Mickey's 60th. I know they were just big advertisements but hey it was Disney! I am quite sure these specials make great artifacts in the history of the parks at the time. I wish I had the sense at a young age to have made VHS tapes of them. Does anybody remember these like I do and did anyone have the sense to record them?

Yeah I know an odd question. LOL

I recorded a lot of stuff like that. The shows were always a lot of fun. Maybe someday I'll get around to putting them on DVD...if Disney doesn't do it first!

there's probably lots of copywrite issues with all the cameo appearances and such by stars of the day.

    Re: Old Disney Holiday specials

The halloween special, "A Disney Halloween", always has a special place in my heart. It was definitely the BEST Halloween special put out by Disney. It was a combo of 2 of Disney's former Halloween specials: "Disney's Halloween Treat" and "Disney's Greatest Villains" (I think that was the name). It was never released on home video, and was hosted by the Magic Mirror. I taped it in the early 90s and still have it to this day. The live action Magic Mirror was played by the voice of the original Captain Hook, who played the mirror in Walt Disney's TV special "One Hour in Wonderland" as well.

Thumbs up Re: Old Disney Holiday specials

Oh yes-I remember that one. I defintely learned a lesson. Don't ever stiff anyone of their Trick or Treat candy or a witch will come by and taunt you with evil spirits painting your house green during a very eerie (yet comical) musical sequence. LOL Donald Duck looked so funny with his beak turning pastel colors!

Ahhh Did the Magic Mirror host an episode of Walt Disney Presents as a tribute hailing his favorite character, the Villian. that was a cool one.
