The Who took the stage at July 2's Live 8 concert to raise awareness of world hunger, but according to the watchdog Parents Television Council, the band actually just raised awareness of a certain four-letter word.

The council has filled an FCC complaint against ABC after network aired The Who's rendition of "Who Are You," which contains the not-so-appropriate question "Who the [expletive] are you?"

ABC's Live 8 coverage was already airing on tape delay, but the network failed to catch the obscenity until it had already gone out on the East Coast, though the network said it was edited out of the West Coast feed.

"ABC producers successfully edited out numerous instances of inappropriate language from the Live 8 performances before they were aired on the ABC Television Network," says an ABC statement, according to media reports. The Parents Television Council was nonetheless unappeased.
