They did a really nice job mastering the Wonderful World of Color episodes this time around - and the People and Places short. So glad the quality is back up.

unfortunately there are many rumors about the next wave of disney treasures, including that there wont even be another wave. the best thing we as fans could probably do is stay positive ourselves. The more we talk about it and speculate maybe we'll get luck and disney will keep the treasures line going. any ideas on how we can get the point across as to what sets we wanna see though?????????

I got my copy of the oswald DVD today in the world of disney store at downtown disney, the cashier hadnt heard that they were releasing him and she was very surprised to see it. The shorts are great, you can really see why people liked him so much and how he evolved into mickey.

Were you able to find one yet? Good luck on that one.

We watched a good portion of the Disneyland stuff last night. The main documentary and the Golden Horseshoe stuff.

    My thoughts:

The first 3/4 of the Disneyland: Secrets, Stories and Magic are totally awesome. Only in the last 15-20 minutes of it did it scream "Infomercial".

The fact that Eisner is still in there doesn't upset me as much as Jay Rasulo being in there. If it were up to him nobody would be able to tell the difference between Disneyland, WDW, etc.

The Golden Horseshoe 10,000 show was a treat. Wally Boag was absolutely brilliant and I really wish there was more of just HIM. As with every Disneyland special that was on TV, they threw Annette in there since she was always Walts favorite.

But man was she a hottie back in the day.

As for the next set of Treasures, I'd like to see some WDW or other resort behind the scenes stuff like we have gotten with Disneyland.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of what's on the DVD's.

Find what one? the Disneyland one? They had them at Costo for $18 so I got one there. Watched the first disc and the construction footage on disc 2 tonight. That construction stuff has to be some of the coolest stuff I had ever seen. The commentary by Tony & Ed was informative and amusing. They were really down to the wire getting the park ready for opening day. Amazing what they accomplished in just a year.

SC, made a great list of them on post #37.

You can also learn all about the Waves from this site here: http://www.ultimatedisney.com/treasures.html#5

TicTocDragon showed me that website a while back and I kept to my favorites/bookmark ever since.

They tell you pretty much what you want to know about a certain Disney Treasure and they can tell how much it is, too.

Re: Walt Disney Treasures Discussion Thread.

Went to Best Buy and actually found a few of the older treasures.

The complete Pluto (Vol. 1) and More Silly Symphonies.

The biggest shocker of all is they actually had Donald Vol. 1. I 'almost' got it to put it on Ebay but didn't since I already have it.

    I still need Donald Vol. 2 ...

WDT: Donald Duck Vol 3 missing a short?

I'm not sure if this is the right thread or if this has already been mentioned so please forgive me. I was just foolin around with IMDB for Donald Duck and noticed the 1950 short "Test Pilot Donald" isn't in the "Walt Disney Treasures: Donald Duck Vol 3 (1947-1950)". It's the short where Donald is in the park playing with his model airplane and Chip n Dale get in on the fun. I loved this short as a kid. What happened?

Also, I think there's going to be 1 more volume set for Donald and was wondering if "Mathmagic Land" or Donald's appearance in "Fantasia 2000" perhaps have a chance of being included.

I got Donald Vol3 and Disneyland for Christmas. I have not watched Donald yet, but I have been loving the Disneyland volume. I have not got thourgh it all yet, but its been fun so far.

I'd love to see a volume that has the closed movies like Captain EO as well as ride throughs of attractions that are gone.

WHAT A GREAT IDEA! Though it would be quite difficult to include a Circle Vision movie on there now wouldn't it?

Well each volume could come with 3 additional TVs so that you could surround yourself with TVs. I'm certain Disney can take the hit on the profits since show is more important. If Walt was still alive it would be done that way.
