Father Upset After Hearing Daughter's Explicit "Disney" CD - WFTV.com

When Jay Scott's daughter got her CD of Disney Channel Hits for Christmas, She did what any 6 year old would have done. She immediately went to her room to listen to it. Instead of hearing Hannah Montana or High School Muscial though, her family was shocked to hear explicit hip hop music coming from the Disney labeled CD.

The CD was purchased at Toys R Us in Voluisa County, Florida by the child's grandmother. While the disc and the cover art has Disney logos on it, what's on the CD is actually hip hop music from New York City based rap group, The Diplomats.

Since reporting this, copies of the mislabeled CD have been appearing in random places all over the US. Both Disney Records and Toys R' Us have declined comments at this time.

A stupid mistake by the replication plant. This is why Disney will not have their DVD's pressed in plants that also handle adult titles.

Something like this happened to me about 15 or 16 years ago. I bought my sister a VHS copy of "HELP" - the old Beatles movie.......and when we opened it, the label read "HELP" but when we put the video in, it was some documentary of Nazi Germany.......it was bizarre.

So, I took it back to the store and went round and round with them....they said it was opened so they couldn't take it back - and I had to tell them that they only way I would find out that this was the wrong item was to open it and play it - and so the manager got involved and refunded me the money and I got the movie elsewhere.

Sorry that this happened to this family-hopefully the kid didn't hear to much- and the manufacturers have some 'splainin' to do.

If you don't like Hannah Montana, you don't have to listen to her. At least she is clean-cut, and doesn't use vile or vulgar language. She is attractive, and these days, that's more important, it seems, than musical talent. I would agree that it is sad beauty triumphs over talent.
