    Oswald the Lucky Rabbit

This DVD is the reason I found this site. In any caseI bought it today. It was initially a subsitute for the Transformers series. I love Transformers alot, I'm one of those geeky fangirls.

So I looked for something else. I already have a ton of Betty Boop and Fleischer stuff. So I decided to begin my collection of Disney shorts. I have almost all the movies thanks to gifts/youth.

I began with the very begininng. It is a wonderful DVD. They gave me a pin and a certificate.

I found the Oswald set at my lucky Target and its a great set, they dubbed all the silent cartoons with new music that goes with it perfectly, and you get buttons, a lithograph and lots of great info.

    Re: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit

I was/am extremly tired so I didn't write a detailed review. Has anyone seen the 2nd disk yet?

It says that it is a biography of Ub Iwerks. And it lists some cartoons before and after Oswald.

I heard that the Lantz Oswalds are on the Woody Woodpecker DVDs. Are they a good buy?

by all means the Woody Woodpecker DVDs are well worth it
well restored although not quite up to where Disney and Warner Bros are usually at but still looking and sounding awesome. as for Oswalds being on there I'm not too sure. Volume 2 of Woody somes out in a few months perhaps some might be on that set.

You can see the first Mickey cartoon on it, too. Plane Crazy. I'd never see that before.

I just saw that cartoon today. It said it was in sound though. I thought Steamboat Willie was the first cartoon with sound.

But then again that guy on toonipedia says that Fleischer actually invented sound cartoons...
