Bad News Bears

I just saw this today and was pleasently surprised. It was really really funny. I think partially it was because we had a good crowd - the people behind us were really into it. It was so much better than I thought it was. The kids were pretty good actors, too.

Any thoughts?

I thought it sucked...Billy Bob Thorton deserves better. The kid's constantly swearing got old FAST

I don't like Billy Bob Thorton so... eh. I thought that all the swearing - both his and the kids' would get to me but I actually got accustomed to it quickly.

Billy Bob is my favorite ex-husband, other than Lyle Lovett

I just finished watching the orginal Bad News Bears, I haven't watched it in YEARS. I had forgotten just how "bad" those Bears were!! I was :lmao:

I saw this the other day. It was good. Would be better if those kids weren't in it. They were HORRIBLE! They picked the worst kid actors out there and put them all in this movie.

Billy Bob was great. There were a couple of his sceens where I was crying with laughter. Especially the dead cat in the dumpster. HAHAHAHAHAHA!

haven't seen it yet and don't really plan on it. It just seems like Bad Santa in a different setting, and I hated bad Santa. People kept raving about it too me, so i saw it and couldn't understand why this was appealling film. I'm all for a little off color, dark humor (love it in fact), but Bad Santa pushed those boundaries too far. This is why I have no desire to see bad News Bears. (unless someone tells me they are completely not the same humor, which doesn't seem to be the case) I like Billy Bob, think he's a good actor, but I want to see him do some good material again instead of continuing to play the same rude character over and over like this.

Bad Santa was Hilarious. Billy Bob did no wrong in Bad News Bears, everyone else did.

Bad Santa is on my list of worst movies ever made! It was horrid!! Xharryb sums up its problems perfectly! We ended up fast forwarding over 90% of it.

A great Billy Bob movie is The Man Who Wasn't There. Sorry, Tui, it doesn't have the toilet humor of Bad Santa. ;)
