    "High School" students ages on TV. Or is it just WB?

    Smallville
    Clark Kent = 27 years old http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0919991/
    Lana = 22
    Lex = 32
    Chloe = 22

    One Tree Hill
    Lucas = 23
    Peyton = 22
    Haley = 23
    Brooke = 22

    Gilmore Girls
    Paris (now Sophmore in college at 26 was in high school at 22 when the show started)
    Lane (also 2 years out of high school... at 30 years old)

    Are all "high school" kids on TV really old enough to be out of college?

    No wonder there is such preasure on teens to look and act like adults.

    Yes, yes, I know. Stockard Channing was 30 when she played a high school-er in Greese.

    This has been pretty standard forever. Wasn't Luke Perry close to 30 when 90210 first started?! It's pretty rare that they cast actual teens. My guess is that with actual teens, they would have to deal the scheduling constraints of them only being able to work so many hours a day and they would also need to spend time on school work.

    Not to mention that 22 year-olds are WAY hotter than real teens.

    I know I've heard stories about the males who are on those shows who have to shave like 3 times a day to keep the babyfaces that high schoolers have!

    Yeah, I was in an episode of Boston Public with my college drumline, and they made us shave all of our beards. It sucked because my facial hair doesn't grow fast so I looked like a little kid for over a month!
