ORDDU: (Ahem!) --that, supposedly the Disney animators who worked on BEAUTY & THE BEAST had given the prince from this particular film the name of Adam. It was a way of identifying him behind the scenes. It's nothing new for Disney animators to assign names to the various 'unnamed characters' from the Disney animated films.
ORWEN: Of course we don't know for sure that Adam is really the name the animaors gave to the prince in BEAUTY & THE BEAST. But there are certainly enough theme park cast members around who used to claim this, anyway...
He is also called Prince Adam on the D-Show CD-ROM game, which BTW is the best Disney video game ever! Kingdom Hearts can't compare. The questions (including ones on Emil and the Detectives and the Viewliner) and the THEME SONG? All awesome.

i was told it was prince vincent by quite a few disney employees. i guess adam it is.
As far as I know, it has never been confirmed, as it was never used in the film itself. I assume those are just rumors.

OMG I have this game! I bought it YEARS ago. Wonder if it would work on my current PC. But I remember now the game mentioned his name was Adam. What a memory jog!
Can't find anything in the original story or translations, so probably not.
ORDDU: My guess is that those who wanted you to belive that the prince was named Vincent were avid fans of the former TV series called BEAUTY & THE BEAST. They tried very hard to make a connection between that and the Disney animated film. But there was never any proof to support such a thing. Just wishful thinking, I'm afraid.
Of all of the "original" stories I have read the name of the castle has never been mentioned. From what I can recall his name wasn't even used? I've read quite a few stories (Beauty and the Beast is by far my favorite) and I haven't heard anything concrete enough for a real answer.

Ya it's old. Animal Kingdom was just about to open at the time, that's why you only saw concept art and construction footage of that park. And Mulan was the most recent animated feature. Any way you could get the song on mp3?
