I think if we drop Michael Bay's involvement and have the transformers in the show...it would be pretty bad ass.
Because the movie sucked, but let Disney do something to make the franchise awesome!

With Transformers 2 in the works, I think Little Mermaid would be an obvious choice for the 2nd installment.
The way I had it was the fourth Little Mermaid takes place in present day and Ariel wants to know of her heritage. Ariel finds out she is half Autobot.

Would you like it to be animated? Or do you think they could pull it off live action?
Somewhat on how Disney made Enchanted and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. A mix of live action and animation. Keep Ariel animated so Jodi Benson can voice her but use the CGI robots from Michael Bay's Transformers.
