Over the years we've noticed the obvious decline of the quality of Disney movies and TV shows. We've seen the move from orchestrated scores to soundtracks drenched with the latest teen-bop fads. Hand drawn animation has lost the race to the sleek new computer style of animation (all of which isn't even technically made by Disney, but outsourced to Pixar). The only hand drawn animation left is the dreadful sequel...I know we all loved The Lion King XXVII (Simba goes to New York). Live action movies have gone from the quality of Mary Poppins and The Swiss Family Robinson to the very unsatisfactory Country Bears movie and the Alamo. All with the exception of very few hits such as the Pirates of the Caribbean.
I wanted to know everyone’s thoughts on this. Does anyone miss the quality of the classics? Are we just stuck in some sort of crazy transition stage? Are we ever going to see Disney churn out one blockbuster after another again?
