Lack of water pressure has been cited in many reports. One theory I saw was that a break in the "deluge system" that was meant to protect the facades allowed water to spill out freely causing a lack of pressure to the rest of the system.

Actually, a long time ago, Universal did have its own Fire Department, similar to Disneyland. But for many years, the Los Angeles County Fire Department is the responsible agency for USH, and has a Fire Station on property. But that is just a couple of trucks, similar to other local stations. It is part of Division VII, Battalion 1.

    The solution is simple

a water tower on that backlot

the other studios have them and you can even see them from Universal

    warners and disneys towers

that way you have water at pressure ready to dump on a fire

^ Wait a second? There is water in the WB Water tower? I thought Wacko, Yacko and Dot lived there???

Oh that's right, they do have a log ride in there.

Wow! This is really awful! I would blame stupid cast members for using a blowtorch. I don't know how they're going to fix the set and King Kong, but I hope everything turned out fine in the end.
