Talking Random Fun Learning about Wizard of OZ

Hi,In the mids of this week. I was just having some random fun in learning about the 1939 film, the Wizard of OZ and I thought would share a little bit about it with MiceChat.

Just in the mids of this week. I was looking for fun in learning about Wizard of OZ.

First I took the time to view that myth that they talked about. That one about a Hanging Munchkin Scene in Wizard of Oz like this one here.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r89z_-1by6U If you really watch the movie you clearly see that it's a Crane (a bird). But it's interesting to see how that they seem to darken that image to make it look like something is wrong.

Then I got into more Wizard of OZ stuff like this video about bloopers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toUD_vTM_a8

Then I got into Margaret Hamilton's website (Wicked Witch of the West) . http://www.MargaretHamilton.com (that has a couple videos about her, I might add)

and last, listening to "Hail, Hail The Witch is Dead". The reprise of Ding-Dong! The Witch is Dead that got cut out in the movie . "Hail, Hail The Witch is Dead" was going to be a song for the death of Wicked Witch of the West, in case you didn't know. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWOgHJDP42M

Also in "Hail, Hail The Witch is Dead". The Wikipedia says
The film footage of the celebration is lost, with the exception of a short clip that was actually in the film's original theatrical trailer, though it had been cut from the film.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ding_Do..._Witch_Is_Dead
Here is the 1939 Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-ZULpr8m5o

I'm going to take a wild guess, that it is the part where you see the Emerald City's TownPeople playing trumpets in the trailer.

By the way, thank you for taking the time to listen to my random learning. I would make a MiceClub about this. But I rarely do it.

When George Lucas gets the rights to this, he will add a celebration on Courescant.

I wouldn't put it past him!

A couple of friends of mine in college did the Wizard of Oz/Pink Floyd thing and said it was really eerie how well they worked together.

My guess is he will have the Wizard revealed as an alien at the end of the movie, and the Hot Air Balloon is replaced by an Unidentified Flying Object.
