![]() | Welcoming HorseAndRabbit.com Adventures Good evening, everyone! My wife, Horse_Bunny, and I would like to invite you to take a few virtual, video trips with us. Our show, HorseAndRabbit.com Adventures is our way to allow others to join us on our trips around the Southwest. From Renaissance Faires to SeaWorld, Zoos to... of course, the Disneyland Resort. And everwhere in between. Think of us as one of those Travel Channel shows without support nor a budget. :-) EPISODE 35: Pixar Play Parade -- E is for Early Our most recent episode takes us back a few days to March 11, 2008 -- for the preview of the Pixar Play Parade. It's an overview of the parade, which still shows signs of being refined and adjusted. Hopefully, it will be a lot of fun. And this isn't our first Disneyland or Disney based video podcast, of course. There are plenty of other episodes that Disney fans would appreciate. Like a trip to meet Giselle at the El Capitan. Or when we met voice actor Rob Paulsen and scared Tony Baxter at the San Diego Comic-Con (only footage from the former, though). And even lousy footage when Horse_Bunny and I worked at Disneyland. So, please subscribe to our podcast on iTunes -- visit us by clicking HERE. The new podcast should be showing up there momentarily... just as soon as iTunes updates. You can also find Quicktime versions of the show at HorseAndRabbit.com Adventure's mainpage. And, obviously, you can learn more about us at our main site: HorseAndRabbit.com. Feedback is very appreciated -- it's the only way we can find out how we're doing! Thanks for your time! Last edited by Disneyphenom; 03-14-2008 at 08:39 AM. Reason: Adding emphasis to VIDEO |

You know it's cool when it's just for us and all, but an audience who actually e-mailed and what not would be awesome :P Quote:
I liked this cast by the way. It was quick and to the point and I think it did a very good job of showcasing the energy and "fun" of the parade. (By the way, you guys are so going to have to see it again if I haven't seen it by the next time I head out to d-land :P)

![]() | Re: Welcoming HorseAndRabbit.com Adventures That was a terrific overview of the new Pixar Play Parade! Some comments in no particular order... - I love the "early" graphic card and text. That was a nice touch and intro to the podcast. - The use of "Welcome" confused me for a bit, since I associate that with POD. But I got over it quickly. - You have excellent pacing with your edits. It matched the music really well. - The camera work is also very nice (as usual). You don't have crazy zoom action or earthquake motion. - As you posted, this podcast was an overview of the parade. However, while listening to Horse_Bunny give the intro, I felt like we would see the whole parade in real time. Perhaps the intro could also let viewers know that this is an overview and not the whole parade in real time. - I was hoping to see some water squirting action. Maybe I missed it on my computer's crappy resolution. - Overall, I really enjoyed this podcast! Shorter than your normal podcasts (which caught be a little off guard), but completely understandable given your objective. It certainly was cool to see a preview of the parade to whet my appetite since I probably won't see it until March 29 or 30. Thanks Disneyphenom and Horse_Bunny!!! |

2) We chose "Welcome" for this year's Disneyland Resort podcasts because, well, we loved the way it worked on our first Disney*land* videocast on our first season. And we only got to use it once, because we were well within the YoaMD by the next Resort 'cast. (Thus, we switched over to the "Flying" theme). That theme got put on a lot of episodes, so when we picked for this year... we just went back to the theme that only got used once. 3 and 4) Thank you very much. Actually, I have a very shakey hand, but when it's compressed to podcast size, somehow that goes away. ::laughs:: And I do have some crazy zooms, but figured I was going to do this as an overview, which left those on the cutting room floor. Whick brings me to... 5) We didn't really plan on filming anything that day -- normally we have multiple cameras, tripods, and the works when we film. That allows at least one steady pulled back shot that I can cut away to in between the wacky zooms and pans. It just happened we walked up to the parade route in time and had a single camera, single tape, and single charged battery to use. So, an overview it became. Maybe down the line I'll go against what Horse_Bunny said, and actually do a full show video. 6) It's funny, I got soaked while filming, but you don't make out many of the squirts. The only one that I can even see (out of all the footage, not just what ended in the podcast) is on the LGM saucer. At the end of that short clip, you can see the LGM "ray gun" go off and squirt off to the right. 7) I don't normally like this short of a show, but as a preview I wanted to give a "feel" of the show without showing off its warts. Yet. Plus, I kinda had to keep this trimmed down due to hard drive space. I was right in the middle of a San Diego Zoo podcast (which now has to have its intro refilmed, since it was going to be our "E is for" and now has to be retooled as an "F is for") which got put on the back-burner. And, well, didn't have the space to have two long in-progress podcasts on there. Thank you so much for your comments. It's rare that Horse_Bunny and I get to do the "preview" thing. In fact, haven't been able to do something like that as a video project, so it was fun. Too bad I actually had to go to work for the rest of the week, else I would have probably taken a day and had this thing done at 2am Wednesday. ;-) Last edited by Disneyphenom; 03-14-2008 at 08:41 AM.

2) I'm glad. If that one gal can be paid by being a goofball all over Europe, we should be too! 3) We probably will. And probably will take the cameras too. But I just love Horse_Bunny's delivery on that "one and only time" quote, so left it in.
