The last movie I saw was the new Transformers. Great special effects of course, A+ to ILM, for Michael Bay and the rest of the film a C. I liked the first one better.

Amen to that. Thankfully, if the generation of filmmakers that I had the pleasure of being friends with while in college get out to where they can make films, we will see a change in that soon enough. Everyone I knew in the film department at my college hates female nudity because of how overused it is.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - We are trying to watch all 5 before we see #6. My kids (13 and 9) have not read the books and they have forgotten a lot of the plot lines, so this is sort of a primer for them. The thing I love the most about this one is how cute the three of them are. They are so young!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - Another one by Chris Columbus. The newness and the magical surprises are still present in #2. The kids seem more comfortable in front of the camera and the special effects are top notch. My least favorite ending of them all. Why exactly are they all applauding Hagred?

How the HECK could this NOT be NC-17? Beyond crude, Beyond any normal nudity in the dark. This was up front in Definitely in your face. I'm surprised they didn't do this in 3D! just to increase the shock value. Any normal male, straight or gay should be embarrassed watching this movie. It's quite possible at least half the porno's ever made are less offensive than this.

The film does confront some issues from celebrities adopting children from other countries, to the way SOME treat their children, to all steriotypical jokes about homosexuals (and rather graphically), to making a mockery of Hamas and Israel being at odds with each other. that twists makes fun of political correctness, and then wraps it all in a Hitler joke. So even when something almost begins to come knocking on the door to your funny bone, it doesn' quite make it, and they just end up t.p.'ing your front yard, and leave a flamming bag of pooh at your front door.

Save your bucks, and be glad you didn't waste your time seeing this thing.

Then this is a movie for me!!!!!!!!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - So stylish. Loved all the unusual camera angles, especially the one where it goes through the giant clock when the time-turner is used. Not my favorite book, but this is so beautifully filmed.

Agreed. Bruno was outrageous, over the top, crude and offense/borderline offensive, but you know what? IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE! That is what Sacha Baron Cohen is all about... doing whatever it takes to get a reaction out of people. He's putting fictional characters into real-life situations. And since all of his fictional characters (Ali G, Borat, Bruno), are way out there, of course it's going to be a train wreck. It's a mock documentary.

The character of Bruno is over the top flamboyantly gay. Gayer than gay. And that's what made it so funny. It was so over the top and absurd you had to laugh. I admit a couple scenes made me cringe, but others had me laughing so hard I had to wipe away the tears.

I will say though that Bruno did seem a bit too scripted and tried too hard compared to Borat. This one I probably won't get when it comes out on DVD.

That's still my favorite of the films. I really didn't care for the ones that followed.

...still trying to muster interest in the newest one.
