Step Brothers- Just came back from Regal and saw it. It was funny, yet it was really exaggerated and ridiculous, but I like Will Ferral and John C. Reilly. Watch what Will Ferrel does to John C. Reilly's drum set...

I just saw Mamma Mia. It was enjoyable. But I think I love the play more.

I never saw the play, nor knew anything about it, with the exception of an ABBA song or two, but I loved the movie!!!

Re: The "What Movie did you just see" thread STRIKES BACK

Caught two movies while I was in Calgary for the last few days. Tuesday night I saw:
Mongol - this was a great movie. It's basically a bio-pic, about the rise of Genghis Khan. If you like movies like Gladiator, Troy or even The Last Samurai, you will definitely like this one. The movie was nominated for a best foreign film Oscar. It's currently playing in art-house cinemas in bigger cities. The movie does have subtitles, but all the actors are speaking in Mongolian. Here's the website: http://www.mongolmovie.com/
If you want to take a break from the summer blockbusters, I highly recommend this one.

Wednesday I saw:
The Dark Knight: The Imax Experience - What can I saw, It was awesome! I hope to go see it again in a couple of weeks.

Hairspray (2007 film)

This was my first time watching it, by the way.

I guess, I would fit in as old fashion. I love the old Ricki Lake Hairspray version better and plus the play compare to this 2007 version. However, I did find it funny with Christopher Walken as Wilbur Turnblad and I thought that it was nice to give Ricki Lake a cameo.

I saw Wanted last night. Any movie that has James McAvoy wet and shirtless is a good thing.

The movie was ok, but I really wanted to see a good action film and it delivered. It has some great action scenes and any movie that uses Binary code must be worth seeing.

Agreed!

Saw the new version of Journey to the Center of the Earth - (but not in 3D) I thought it was a fun, family, summer movie. This is the season to take the kids out, and my two really enjoyed it. You can tell when they did hokey 3D stuff, but thankfully they didn't do that too many times.

So its worth seeing without 3D? Nowhere near me is showing it in 3D and I must admit I was just going to skip it completely.
