I agree too. They just didn't look right. As for the wolves, they looked pretty darn good. Jacob looked so beautiful. I can't wait till June!

Re: New Moon Movie (Twilight Saga Book #2)

Omg when Jacob first took off his shirt for the blood, EVERYONE in the theatre, even myself (a team Edward) gasped with awe. homgggg. The movie was very well done, you can tell they had ample funds. As opposed to Twilight, they had a very small budget. The ending drove me crazyyyyyy I have no idea how in the world I'm gonna wait this long for Eclipse!

Re: New Moon Movie (Twilight Saga Book #2)

I saw a button the other day that said:

"I'm Team Edward except when Jacob takes off his shirt". Love it!

I loved the movie. A few parts were cringe worthy though. The scene of Alice's vision of Bella as a Vampire. So corny!! Why were they dressed liked that? Alice's clothes were terrible, I don't know what they were thinking. I loved how well they stuck to the book. Overall, I really enjoyed it.

I thought the movie was very well done, and was pretty close to the book. I can't wait to see it again

Re: New Moon Movie (Twilight Saga Book #2)

I realized that there were a few parts they left out that I would have liked to see. When Bella claws the stereo system out of her truck because she is so upset, Edward taking her photos and then having her wonder where they went and then at the end him telling her they were under the floorboards (he did take the photos, but that was the extent of it). I just like when screenwriters finish a thought. haha

I'm such a dork; I read this and thought, "when were they in New Mexico?"

My stomach still hurts from laughing so hard after seeing it with a bunch of friends today. It was definitely better than Twilight but WTH is up with Edward's deformed nipple/areola?? Loved the tampon commercial with Bella and Edward frolicking in the woods. And, please Rob, go to the gym a few times a week! Kind of jarring to see him without a shirt after seeing Taylor! I thought the wolves were done perfectly -- great CG! Alice looked beautiful. Definitely a better budget for contact lenses this time around. Hated the casting of the Volturi other than Marcus.

^ Not really. She wasn't as bad as Caius but still not how I pictured Jane.

Re: New Moon Movie (Twilight Saga Book #2)

I didn't care for the movie much, I found it rather boring to be honest. Just like with the book, I wanted to yell "GET OVER IT BELLA"!!!! But you can tell they had a MUCH bigger budget to work with on this one, which is a good thing.

I thought it was faithful to the book, for the most part. (I only read it once and only because I was making sure it was okay for my daughter to read).

However, if you hadn't read the books, you would get no idea that Alice and Bella were best friends. I thought they missed a lot on that. Rosalie is supposed to be this hot vampire chick, and I just don't like the way they have her in the movie. The actress who plays her is WAY hot. I just don't get it.

I'm glad we saw it on Saturday as we didn't have a whole bunch of screaming tweens, but overall I was ho-hum about the whole thing.

Re: New Moon Movie (Twilight Saga Book #2)

Here's my review/ internal monologue:

Blah, blah, blah. Jasper looks like he is either holding in wind or passing it or sniffing some really bad wind and may yack. Blah blah blah... I really don't like Bella. Edward's being a jerk, passive aggressive. Oh hey wolves... remember Taylor is underage. Oh... Paul, and he's legal. Dang. Blah... Oh look Colossus and Leech. Wolves, yay!

It was better than "Twilight." The first had such bad lighting I kept thinking someone from the San Fernando Valley made that movie. And one could tell the budget was bigger. But... that said I'd rather have just a wolves movie. Best part of the series to me. Every time Edward and Bella have these pregnant pauses throughout "New Moon" I did hand puppets of boredom. And I like Robert Pattinson, Taylor Launter is Shark boy to me, but is entertaining to watch... Can't stand Kristen Stewart. She looks bored and half there. When she talks it's flat, and maybe that's just the way she acts... Like Chris Weitz directing though. Everyone looked better than the first.

Re: New Moon Movie (Twilight Saga Book #2)

For those of you thinking of getting the sports bottles from Burger King:

I went to Burger King for the exclusive reason to get my wife and daughter those twilight sports bottles you see in the commercials. Well, what they don't tell you is it's just a flyer you can get to go online and buy the sports bottles ... for $10.

I don't eat BK and wouldn't have if it wasn't for that. I feel cheated ... and sick to my stomach from eating the BK.

Re: New Moon Movie (Twilight Saga Book #2)

It's time for this again

Here's my review from a local paper (I'm Brent)

Santa Maria Sun | Film

Roberta: I liked the first Twilight movie, but the sequel isn’t as good. In both movies, Bella gets on my nerves. It’s horrible watching a teenager who should be so full of life being so morbidly miserable all of the time. When Edward leaves her, I can see her being that miserable, I guess, but she’s miserable at her birthday celebration at the beginning while she’s still with him and completely consumed with being a year older than him.

Brent: The movie explained that her sadness was because she knew he would always be the same age, while she would become an old woman—but yeah, it annoyed me, too.

Roberta: Even when she gets a birthday present from her dad in the morning, she’s got that depressed look on her face. On my worst days, I couldn’t look like that if I tried. With all the technology they have, couldn’t they use a special effect to go over her face and make it look like she was happy at some point in the movie? I’m not sure if it’s funny or clever when Bella sits looking out a window while the months pass. I can’t keep a straight face as I’m writing this, so I’m going to go with funny.

Brent: Bella sitting there with her expression unchanging as the seasons passed would have had more of an impact if she didn’t always have the same expression anyway....
