All I'm going to say is if Heath doesn't win best supporting actor, the poo is going to hit the oscillating object.

Re: Pick the Winners!!! 2009 Academy Awards

I honestly could care less about the Oscars this year. Haven't seen ANY of the most nominated movies, and most likely won't until they are out on DVD.

I hope he gets it too. I'm disappointed that Dark Knight didn't get more nominations. In all it looks like a pretty boring selection of movies. They should've just given the Oscars to Heath and WALL-E right away.

The only movie I've seen from the best picture category is Benjamin Button. It was good, but not great. It was long and slow, It was lacking that little bit of extra to really make it stand out.

Only three movies nominated for visual effects? What the...?? Where's Iron Man, or some of the other summer blockbusters? Even the lead-lined fridge got shut out of this category.

I never really care about these things except for Visual Effects. I'm surprised Narnia didn't get Visual or even Make-Up. I am really surprised about Robert Downey Jr. for getting a nomination for Tropic Thunder.

Narnia didn't offer anything new to the table of visual effects, which is why they probably got snubbed. And it's not because it wasn't "good". All the movies go through several rounds of voting from industry professionals. Narnia just didn't get enough votes.

I personally wouldn't have voted for that one either.

Re: Pick the Winners!!! 2009 Academy Awards

Im pretty sure about Wall E for best animated feature (allthough I was hoping for a best picture nomination), and Heath Ledger is a given for best supporting actor.

Re: Pick the Winners!!! 2009 Academy Awards

I'm extremely excited that Milk has 8 chances of winning an oscar. A truly deserving film. Man on Wire needs to win for best documentary, because it blew my mind from awesomeness. I'm happy that Wall-E was given more nods than just animation, and I really think TDK garnered the nominations it deserved.
