Where The Wild Things Are

Didn't see a thread about this, but they just released the trailer for it.

Apple - Movie Trailers - Where the Wild Things Are

Actually looks to be pretty damn good.

Re: Where The Wild Things Are

It looks great. Paired with the music of Arcade Fire, this is a trailer that gets me excited and it looks a like a lot of fun.

I also might get nightmares from it.

I'm really curious to see how this turns out. I know it's been delayed quite a long time while the director and the studio disagreed over his vision for the film.

Looks really good, I didn't even know they were making one.

Re: Where The Wild Things Are

I want to see this movie! Love the music! Love the cast (I will watch Mark Ruffalo read the phone book and still be entertained), love the vibe. I really liked the title/ wording. "A little Hope." "Adventure..." This is one of my favorite books (and I love anything by Maurice Sedak-sp? Alexander I read when I've had a bad day) so I'm looking forward to this.

I agree. Looks really good, but also looks creepy and nightmare-ish at the same time.

Re: Where The Wild Things Are

I am a huge dork, because I've been waiting for this movie my whole life. I was so enchanted by this book when I was little. It looks just like it ought to. The trailer spazzed me out, totally. Can't wait for it to hit theatres.

Re: Where The Wild Things Are

I saw this trailer this morning. I really liked it! I definitely need to quickly reread the childhood classic before seeing the movie. I am curious to see how they will extend just a short story into a full film. It looks like this movie will also appeal to adults too!

this is me and hubby's favorite children's book....I'm curious about how it will turn out. But, I don't have my hopes set too high.

Did you watch the trailer?! With Spike Jonze directing and Dave Eggers writing the screenplay, my hopes are set very high, and the fact that Jonze fought Warner Bros when they wanted to change the film to be more 'appropriate' (i.e. more commercial) you can tell he cares a lot about the project.
