![]() | Re: '17 Again' Just saw it today and thought it was really cute. The story has been done before and has been done better, but it was a fun movie to watch and very entertaining. Zac did a great job but it was Thomas Lennon as the billionair best friend who steals the show. I have said it before and I will say it again. I think Zac Efron has some real talent and will go far. I liken him to Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp. They may have made some wacky movie choices when they were young, but they are doing great now. I see Zac getting Oscar noms in his future. He just needs to pick the right parts. |

Depp got sucked into a mattress in '84 in 'A Nightmare on Elm Street', two years later had very small part in Best Picture winner, 'Platoon' and then got '21 Jump Street'. During that run he starred in 'Cry-Baby' whose total domestic gross was $8,266,343. Pitt didn't really hit until his role in 'Thelma and Louise' in 1991. Prior to that he did a number of guest appearances in a number of TV series including 'Growing Pains', 'Thirtysomething' and '21 Jump Street' in 1988. As Efron said in recent interviews Leonardo DiCaprio (who knows a thing or two about propering beyond teen dream status to a number of Academy Award nominations) advised him - don't do heroin and he'll figure out everything else along the way. Good advice for everyone.

![]() | Re: '17 Again' Saw the movie today, and I enjoyed it. Although some similar themes have been used in other body switching movies, this movie more resembles "Big", only this time in reverse, complete with his best friend. Yes, Zac does a great job with the main character. However, once Matthew Perry comes back in the movie, and ties up some of the loose ends, the movie just lacks a satisfying ending. They really just drop the ball, and don't even attempt to clean up the last 10% of the movie. There are some still pictures at the end of the movie, that just don't make any sense, nor do they tie up the loose ends. In fact they just confuse the story even more. Overall, thumbs up, but the end needs to go back to the editting room.

![]() | Re: '17 Again' I think this movie looks cute. I love Matthew Perry and I think Zac Efron is definitely an up and coming actor. They story looks fun and I want to see it. I might just rent it though. I saw some interviews with both actors and they seem to get along pretty well. Fun! |
