Unfortunately, Disney markets performers and music that do not appeal to a wide pop music audience in general. Instead, they target specific demographics. As a result, the teen performers either sink or swim when they get older and Disney replaces them.

Those that succeed as older performs usually have one or two hits and disappear. This is because none posses the ability to write original songs. True original talent is the one thing that priveleged people cannot give their relations and friends.

I do not dislike the Jonas Bros. and Miley Montana Dana. I think they are nice people, and don't blame teem boys and girls for islizing them and their music. Although I have always loved all styles of pop and dance music, the variety these performers emote is rather non-descript - even their ocasional pop cover remakes.

This is painfully true. Too bad Disney doesn't realize that it could make much more by getting away from niche music and performers.
