Re: Rank Pixar Films, including Up...

1. The Incredibles
2. Ratatouille
3. Up
4. Monsters Inc
5. Cars
6. A Bug's Life
7. Finding Nemo
8. Toy Story 2
9. Toy Story
10. Wall-E

There's really a huge gap between 9 and 10 for me because I actually like Toy Story, but can't stand Wall-E.

Re: Rank Pixar Films, including Up...

Updated:

I just saw "Up" and I loved it! PIXAR just may have released it's most emotional title yet! It may look low on the list but by no means it is degraded. It's just that every PIXAR movie is different and unique in it's own way. There are some PIXAR movies I have enjoyed more than "Up" and some I have not, but this isn't a review so the least I can say is that "PIXAR has done it again!!!"

Here is my list.
1.Ratatouille (9.8/10) A+ ***** "Amazing"
2.WALL•E (9.7/10) A+ ***** "Amazing"
3.Finding Nemo (9.3/10) A ***** "Wonderful"
4.Monsters Inc. (9.2/10) A ***** "Wonderful"
5.Toy Story (9.1/10) A- ***** "Excellent"
6.The Incredibles (9.1/10) A- ***** "Excellent*
7.UP (9.0/10) A- ***** "Excellent"
8.A Bug's Life (8.7/10) B **** "Great"
9.Cars (8.6/10) B **** "Great"
10.Toy Story 2 (8.5/10) B**** "Great"

I rated mine strictly on which I enjoyed the best, which was hard because I have enjoyed all off them more than any other animated films I have seen. I love them all so much but this would be the list if I had to rate them.

Re: Rank Pixar Films, including Up...

I'm going to be non conformist and rank only 6

1. Wall-E
2. Toy Story 2
3. Toy Story
4. Up
5. Cars
6. Finding Nemo

One of those is going to get bumped off by Toy Story 3, I hope.

Re: Rank Pixar Films, including Up...

For me:

A Bugs Life
Wall-E
Toy Story/Toy Story 2
Up
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
Monsters Inc.
Cars
Ratatouille

Like a few other people have mentioned however, just because I like some better than others, NONE of them are bad.

Re: Rank Pixar Films, including Up...

1. Finding Nemo
2. Ratatouille
3. Up
4. Cars
5. Wall-E
6. Monsters Inc.
7. Incredibles
8. Toy Story 2
9. Toy Story
10. A Bug's Life

I'll explain a little:

Nemo and Ratatouille need little explaining. Nemo is very grand and emotional, and the animation of water is a joy to watch, and Ratatouille is of course exquisite.

Up was AMAZING. It made me think about life (and my own youth) more than most of the movies I've seen combined, and I loved the characters and comedy.

Cars might surprise people as my number 4. But it had a very special, American mythology feel that I can't get enough of, and I love Lightning's change of character in the movie.

Believe it or not, the Incredibles is lower on my list because I generally don't like really intense movies, and the Incredibles is up there. That's just me, though... but I agree it is a GREAT movie.

Toy Story and A Bug's Life are also great movies which I really enjoy watching, but because they're older, I've grown a little tired of watching them. Like I could play both films in my head now. And of course, there has to be a bottom of the list.

But this being Pixar, ALL of the above are excellent movies.

As usual, I'm surprised and sad to see A Bugs Life at the bottom of so many lists. It's been my favorite since the first time I saw it.

The other movies are even more amazing.
It might be more relevant to see what that bottom-of-the-ten ranks in everyone's all-time lists.

I'm with you on that. Bug's Life is so well done and hilarious, I really love it. I also think it's incredibly tight and there isn't a single part that bores me (some of the later pixar films get close here and there). It might not have a message or emotion that hits people as hard - which might be why they put it on the bottom. It's a more simple and straightforward film, but that's why I love it.

Exactly. It's a "finding your place" kind of movie kind of like Cars, but done MUCH better IMO. I just love it to pieces.

I mean, how can you watch the play the kids put on about the battle, including the mural and not just . It's so classic.

After seeing Up a 2nd time, my order hasn't changed. I love the first half of Up to bits and pieces. And I can suspend belief only so much before it becomes a little too cartoony for its own good... for my tastes. Also never a fan of where the character of Muntz went. It got pretty creepy fast and a little too physically impossible.

Russell is pretty awesome though.
