'Dark Knight' Preview Debuting on Imax Dec. 14

The first six minutes of Warner Bros.' The Dark Knight, the next Batman movie, will appear as a preview in Imax theaters before the studio's I Am Legend, which opens Dec. 14. Knight features Heath Ledger as The Joker. Director Chris Nolan, who also helmed 2005's Batman Begins, opted to shoot part of the new film using 70mm Imax cameras. The sequence debuting on Dec. 14 depicts a team of robbers wearing clown masks entering a bank for a planned heist when things take an unexpected turn. The first look at Ledger's chilling Joker is generating quite a buzz. ''Seeing this extraordinary face, eight stories high... you can smell his breath,'' Nolan said. ''He's a very overwhelming personality, and there's incredible texture to his appearance. It's a creepy moment, as it should be.'' Production on the movie just wrapped. It's scheduled for a July 18 release.

I read the script for those 6 minutes. There's a line that's just creepy and William Fichtner is in it! Yay! Without being spoiler-tastic: I might be too chicken to watch the movie.

William Fichtner has been the best friend for the past 20+ years of a very close friend of mine. He's a truly sweet & great guy and an excellent actor. This has been in the works for awhile and will elevate his profile tremendously as many of his past works including 'Armageddon' and 'The Perfect Storm' have done. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

William's come a long way since I've seen him for the first time on Grace Under Fire. I was watching Pearl Harbor the other day and noticed he was in the beginning of that movie as well. Looking forward to seeing him in Dark Knight.

They had a great time working together on 'Armaggedon' so that was the cameo that Michael Bay came up with for Bill to appear in 'Pearl Harbor'.

It was on aintitcool.com over the weekend looked good. After watchign that and the new trailer any doubts I had of Heath Ledger pulling off the Joker were erased. He's perfect for the part

Just saw it. I agree with Wren. I had my doubts with Ledger, but after seeing that, HE'S PERFECT!
