Re: underdog

Was a HUGE Underdog fan as a kid, and was really looking forward to seeing this....

then I saw the trailer.... and just..."no." I was hoping for a CGI type of thing, but they completely ruined the concept. So agree with the poster that said, nope, not even on DVD or TV.

But, having worked in the Industry, I know that at times films/TV shows are made to be tax write-offs, meaning that they are purposely made bad so the studios can get the write-off. This one has that message all over it. Sad, I was really hoping for a fun film.

Re: underdog

RottenTomatoes has UD with a 13% and 19% rating
on their two scales. Definitely a Dud. But the big
surprise it's not the dog of the week. That rating goes
to Bratz. Looks like we're unfortunately in the dog
days of August.

Hahahaha! Even reading some of the positive reviews
of UD, you have to wonder how those reviews were
counted as thumbs up!!!!

Re: underdog

What kind of demographic research do you suppose Disney did that told them they should waste money on making this movie? Who in their right mind told them "Yeah, do it! Great idea!"...? They should just put a few million dollars in a pile and set it on fire in front of a televised audience next time. People might actually tune in to see that.

Even though Underdog looked bad, bratz made it look like a masterpiece. I remember reading a critic write "the most horrifying movie of the year"

Yeah, that was almost exactly like one of the positive reviews of UD,
but I bet they won't use it to promote UD

Actually, I am curious to know what the opions of UD from some
MiceChatters that have seen UD. Is there at least a little something
in the movie that would make it worthwhile to view when it hits dvd
or tv?
