National Treasure - Book of Secrets

Just three days to 'till show time!

I love the first one, in fact just watched it last night.

Now I don't want to set too high of expectations.

I'm fairly certain it will be enjoyable, could it even be better than the first?

Anyone else getting stoked for this release? We will likely see it on Sunday though, avoiding most of the biggest crowds.

I still have not seen the first film, but plan to go see the second just because I really want to see Goofy in Walt Disney's How to Hook Up Your Home Theater.

Re: National Treasure - Book of Secrets

I found this on the internet today...
Quote:
NICOLAS CAGE is begging Disneyland bosses to create a new ride based on his movie franchise NATIONAL TREASURE. The actor is a huge theme park fan and insists it's his dream to ride his own rollercoaster. National Treasure and new sequel Book of Secrets were produced by Disney - and Cage is hoping they will grant him his wish. He says, "My biggest thrill would be if Disney was so happy with the movie that they gave it a ride. "Because I love amusement parks and I love Disneyland and I would love to see a National Treasure ride. That would be a dream come true for me." Disney movie Pirates of the Caribbean was based on a ride at the Disney World resort.

Re: National Treasure - Book of Secrets

At least if they did we'd be able to get the actual actor to do voice-over's, etc for the ride unlike Indy.

Sounds like an attraction that would have worked great at Disney's America.

Where did you find that?

It would be cool if Disney did put a ride based on that film. It would be very exciting.

Such a ride would fit well inside DL's Adventureland - as kind of a modern day adventure hat involves an Amercan history envolved plotline along with historixal settings. WDW's Liberty Square could use a good action packed ride as well.

If there's a rage in the Cage for a new National Treasure, Disney would be wise to grant it to him.

California Adventure would be perfect for a National Treasure attraction --

That is, if they take the Indiana Jones Adventure approach and create an entirely new storyline for the attraction. Don't base it off any of the events in the films - but create a whole new adventure based around California's "national treasures" and have the National Treasure characters present in the adventure.

It would be a great opportunity for an attraction that would be able to sell film-related merch, but offer a completely unique story and experience.

Re: National Treasure - Book of Secrets

Saw it earlier today ... thought it was very good. Probably just as good as the first, although it did seem a bit long.

It just goes to show you can have a fun action movie without all the cussing, blood-shed, etc.
