Its the 1970s sequel to The Shaggy Dog. Basically he's an adult now and a district attorney.

This movie does look dumb, but partly due to the time it is being released I wouldn't be surprised if it is a hit.

Re: Beverly Hills Chihuahua?

This has the most obnoxious trailer I have ever seen. It should not be played in front of a thoughtful movie such as Wall-E. The MPAA should not have approved of Beverly Hills Chihuahua's trailer as it gives new meaning to the words idiotic and annoying. This trailer could actually cause someone to go insane.

Re: Beverly Hills Chihuahua?

I had the dry heaves just looking at the *poster* for it. >.< And yes, I saw the trailer on Wall-E when I went to see it last night. Ugh...between that and the trailer for Pink Panther 2 (Peter Sellers is rolling in his grave. o_O; ), I was ready to scream a Vader-eque "NOOOO!" in the aisle.

I rest my case.
Hey don't bash The Shaggy D.A. (by all means bash the 2006 remake of the original Shaggy Dog), Disney's made worse dog movies than that. Like every Air Bud sequel, 102 Dalmatians etc.

As far as bad Disney movies go this has got to at least be in the top 10, right up there with Condorman.

Man, I think this movie looks cute and it's definitely aimed for children. When I saw the trailer in the theaters all the children around me were laughing hysterically. The jumping and talking chihuahuas are too funny!

At least Condorman had Micheal Crawford... and it's own Baskin Robbins ice cream.

Really, What flavor? I hope it wasn't Condor.

Oh and yes I've now seen Condorman in it's entirety and although it's quite a lame movie it's still somewhat entertaining and it's better than the animated feature Disney released that year.

let it be stricken from the record that I insulted Condorman in such a fashion. Put the remake of That Darn Cat! in it's place. I'm sure we can all agree that wasn't a terribly good film.

Re: Beverly Hills Chihuahua?

I hate HSM. But I acknowledge that some people (mainly tweens) like it.

In the same way, I am happy to acknowledge that some people (mainly morons) may like Beverly Hills Chihuahua.

It is not for me.
