"The Climb" by Miley Cyrus

I am not going to lie, I really like this song, "The Climb"! It was a pleasant surprise coming from Miley Cyrus, but I will definitely give credit where credit is due. I have this song on repeat!

I'm still waiting for her to "ruin" Radiohead.

The soundtrack will be released March 24 and features 18 tracks: seven are performed by Cyrus in her Montana persona, four by Cyrus herself, one by Billy Ray and one by her and him together. I'm sure Radiohead are going to cover this on their next tour.

The song would probably be good if it weren't for Miley's annoying voice.

I like the song and the lyrics, I just don't think Miley Cyrus' voice is listen-able...it always gives me a headache.

That's probably whats been holding her back. Careful, the album will be for sale at WalMart.

I definitely like the lyrics. To me it seems like a more mature song for her, which is probably the direction she is gravitating towards since she herself is getting older. I think her voice is recognizable and distinct, which is always nice from a musical artist.

Re: "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus

Did anyone see her perform on the ACM's last night? She really added a punk rock/country edge to the song. I am really anxious to see the movie. I can't believe it is already coming out this week!

I'm not a fan of Miley, but I'll admit she's got some catchy songs. See You Again still gets stuck in my head.

i was shocked that i liked it too. im sure she didnt write it because its far beyond her talent to write something that good. but if she didnt sing it it would be amazing.

I looked it up on a few sites and every site claims that she, along with her dad, wrote the song. But who knows..

Since you're obviously unaware of the 11th Commandment, here it is:

Write your own songs = $$$
Keep your publishing rights forever = $$$.

The Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow" still reigns atop the Billboard Hot 100, but a big opening weekend for "Hannah Montana: The Movie" boosts or debuts six of the soundtrack's songs on the Hot 100.

Miley Cyrus' "The Climb," which moves up two spots to No. 8, also scores the week's greatest digital gain, with downloads up 37% this week. "Hoedown Throwdown," also from the movie, leaps to No. 28 (with a 119% download gain) and Taylor Swift's "Crazier" climbs to No. 38 (with downloads up 87%).

Elsewhere on the Hot 100, Hannah Montana's "Let's Get Crazy" is at No. 75, Miley Cyrus & Billy Ray Cyrus' "Butterfly Fly Away" debuts at No. 72, and Hannah Montana's "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home" moves up to No. 88.

Re: "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus

I saw her sing this song on AI last night, and I didn't like it... she was screaming the entire song. The singing was ok, no great, but she was so loud it sounded pretty bad.

"The Climb" is one of Miley's best, but they overplay it way too much on television. It's an inspirational song though, life's definitely a climb!
