Worst Band Ever!!!

You did NOT just go there. 95% of bands I like are form the 80's. Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, The Cure, U2, INXS... just to name a few. I've been fans of these bands since I was as young as 8 years old.


My pick (and I know people will not agree with me)...

Dave Matthews Band

^ I actually used to HATE Dave Matthews Band. But they actually grew on me and are now one of my favorites.

I don't ever get defensive when somebody doesn't like one of my favorite bands. Everybody has their own taste and I TOTALLY get that Rush or Genesis or Dave Matthews Band isn't everybody's cup o' tea, and that's fine.

remember they're from here, and I saw them before they hit it big. They had been to the US and didn't make it and they were trashing the US, saying they'd NEVER EVER go back there.
Also Bon Jovi. I think they're too worried about how they look, and not how thye sound

I actually have to disagree. Bon Jovi is one of my favorite bands. And they're also one of the few bands that survived the "hair bands" era of the late 80's. Since then, they've evolved into one of America's favorite bands. But yes, you're entitled to your opinion.

OUCH! That's gotta hurt! And Creed was another one of my favorite bands.


I have to say that I think Scott Stapp was the downfall for that group that eventually led to the breakup. I remember after their Weathered CD came out, a local radio station quoted an interview that Scott did. In it, he stated when he goes out he has to wear a cowboy hat to hide his face, that he hated being noticed by people when he was out and about. My instant reply to that was, he shouldn't be worried about the days where people recognize him on the streets. He should be more worried about the days when people DON'T recognize him anymore. So uhm, those days would be like NOW!

Ahhhh, it must really suck being a hasbin or a washout.

Creed as musicians (not counting Scott Stapp) were actually really good. It was when Stapp got his Christ complex that the band went downhill, and fast.

Creed needs to go away. Sadly I heard they're reforming. *gag*

And while the musicians in Dave Matthews Band are talented, I think they're one of the most overrated bands ever.

And INXS for me ended when Michael died. The Farris brothers need to just give it up.

KISS are the biggest sell-outs ever (and they happily admit it), but they're fun in a cheesy way.

I lost my interest in Bon Jovi when they decided to go country. I even saw them back in the hair band days (Skid Row was the opening act too).

Same here.

I can't stand Creed, at all. They're defintely on the top of the list for me. I'm with Chad too, I'm not a Grateful Dead fan, at all. I'd have to say they are #1 and #2 on my list.

Regarding KISS, your right aimster, they are sell-outs, and they gladly admit it. I get the "show" aspect of them. But the music, without the show, just SUCKS.

Further proof of this was the "without makeup" phase. Kiss couldn't sell out their tour back then because the fans wanted blood, fire and makeup. Goes to show they weren't going to the concerts for the music.

Here's my shortened list (I'm sure to draw heat on a few):
1. All boy bands Starting with New Kids On The Block up to and including the Jonas Brothers.
2. Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus, I don't care how many screaming, crying little girls and pervy old men love her I can not stand her or for that matter her old man Billy Ray the both are horrible (go ahead lynch me but I'm honest they suck!)
3. Dave Mathews Band but my local police department love when he comes to town due to all the bust for drugs and such when they're here. Lot's ofr money made that night.
4. Guns N Roses not the original line up but the line ups that Axl keeps trying to force down peoples throats that will never measure up to the originals.
5. Europe they sucked in the 80's and while they continue on in well europe the will always suck.
There are more but these are some of my worst.

To be quite honest their lyrics and song structure have mainly been country since they started just like Nickleback. Singing cliche lines with simple song structure but that's what the masses like.
