Rush in Concert!!! Pictures and Reviews from 2 Shows in 1 week

Looks like it was a great show Clinks...Not being a Rush fan or anything, i do appreciate the drumming skills of Neil Pert.

Aashee....8 times you have scene Metallica? Ughhhh, I'm a Metallica nut and have never scene them. I stand humbly in the greatness of such a feat!

It's been a while but I saw them first after Cliff Burton died at the Monsters of Rock concert, probably then best I've ever seen. They were exceptional every time.

I don't have time to do a full update for night two, but let me just say ...

BEST.SHOW.EVER!!!

Seriously, in all the times I've seen them, they have never sounded so good. Me and Josh had an unbelievably awesome time (even though he was getting tired). I loved watching my son have an unbelievably awesome time at his first concert.

Also, a BIG shout out to the staff at Nokia (especially Manager Gilbert) who made the experience amazing. I'll explain more later, but let's just say we got some VIP treatment and they went WAY above and beyond.

Awesome Gregg. That is so cool having pictures of you son's first concert. I wish they were a little more camera friendly back in the good old days.

Yeah, I took it right in, put it in the little box for keys and phones (you go through metal detectors at nokia) and it was cool. Where we were sitting there were Ushers everywhere and they were totally cool.

I wish I had pictures of my first show, but ironically enough, I just found a bootleg of the first show I ever attended. Need to get a copy of it.

I took over 300 pictures (only about 160 came out good) but it was awesome.

^ great shots Gregg. There are a ton of picture. Should I assume the south park picture wasn't at the concert?

I miss seeing good bands at smaller venues. If I go back to a concert, that's what I'd rather go to. I hope you didn't ruin your son by taking him to such a great concert as his first one.

^ No kidding Chad. I told him not all shows are like that, and not all seats are that good. In fact that's the closest I've ever been at a Rush show.

The South Park picture WAS at the show. They do a video intro to Tom Sawyer, but they are "Lil' Rush".

They start the song (the south park kids) and Cartman sings "Modern Day Warrior, Today's Tom Sawyer he floated down the river with a Black Guy". Then Stan calls Cartman an fat-*** and tells him to play the song right. Then Rush starts the real song. Funny moment.

You have me beat. we probably saw them about 5 times but my best memory was James Hetfield buying me and my buddies a beer at a bar then standing around talking music and B.S'in with him. Unreal.

I'll trade my extra 3 times to share a beer with Hetfield. That's the coolest thing ever! Probably the best one was when Queensryche opened for them and I saw that show 3 times, amazing. I also saw them twice with Faith No More who was a pretty good band too.

Awesome Duck, we'll share some Metallica Stories over a beer the next time you are down. Oh, just so you know, I haven't heard any Metallica music since the Black Album.

Clinks that was just awesome!!! Too bad you couldn't have recorded all of the concert to share with us!! Sounds like the acoustics were pretty good. I last saw Rush in the Delta Center - I think it was the Presto Tour. The music was so loud that you couldn't hear the lyrics at all.
