| From The Black Lagoon MiceChat Administrator   |  Disney Legend and Imagineer, Harriet Burns, has passed away We are sad to announce that Harriet Burns, legendary Imagineer, has passed away.  Harriet was the first woman hired in a creative role by Disney Imagineering. She was famous for working on attractions and prototypes for the 1964 Worlds Fair as well as many attractions at Disneyland, including the Haunted Mansion, Enchanted Tiki Room, and Sleeping Beauty Castle. She talked about some of the challenges in working and building the audio animatronic animals in Pirates. I saw her a couple of times with Blaine Gibson and Alice Davis. They certainly were great friends. As many others have said, she was a classy lady, and she will be missed! |

| Re: Disney Legend and Imagineer, Harriet Burns, has passed away I heard she was just a super nice lady besides being so talented. We will greatly miss her presence at the reunions. Hopefully she is in a better place designing another park along with the other imagineers who have gone before her
