I think this is really awesome! I thought it might be an elaborate "Buy 3 days & get your birthday free" kind of deal, but this is an actual free ticket! I love it.

Question, though: My SIL is actually born on February 29th. Is there something in the fine print to where she could go on Feb. 28th or March 1st?

Yes, if your actual birthday is February 29th, you may choose to get a free ticket on February 28th or March 1st.

I think it would be so much better if they had it where you can get it for free on day during the month of your birthday... I think that would be much more feesible... I mean I understand they want to sound like they are doing this amazing thing but in reality most people will not be able to take advantadge of it...

The free birthday admission seems pretty strightforward to me...get in free on your birthday. I don't see where there will be a lot of confusion.

When you apply for a birthday button at City Hall you are given some leeway. If your birthday is within a week or two of the day you apply then they are happy to count the day of your visit as your birthday. Will this rule apply to the free admission is what most folk want to know? If not then Disney are really not giving very much away are they? Also why is it restricted to birthdays? Why not wedding anniversaries etc? Given the present economic climate (and the fact that Disney have admitted as much) by letting one person in free they get the "spend" of all the other people that go in with that person.

I agree with Snow White Raven - there should be some time frame rather than restricting it to the actual day.

A: Unfortunately, no. The free admission to a Theme Park on your birthday offer means just what it says. It's only valid for free admission on your birthday in 2009.

As for why they don't have a promo for other significant dates... How do you prove your anniversary? I could easily make a church issued Marriage Certificate on my computer with any date I want....

And then "Locals" would be allowed into the parks on multiple dates, and then AP holders would get a Second free admission, or maybe even more, depending on how many different type of dates Disney would include in the offer.

I think it is nice that Disney has made the Birthday offer, but I don't think it will drive the selling of "Vacation packages" that they are hoping for.

The deal is great for locals, whose Birthday falls on a weekend or other date that they are off of work/school/etc. but that really is it.

I think it's brilliant. No, it won't work for everyone. But it will work for some people. Yes, it can entice you to spend more money, but it can also get you a small price break on a vacation you were already planing to take.

Nothing's perfect or fair. I think this is cool because it causes excitement and sparks the imagination. I just hope the in-park decorations are not too annoying. The concept art for the Mickey & Minnie balloon thingies were not making me to warm up to the decorations.

I love the idea and am so excited! We always go ON our birthday so this will work well for us. We also have spent a week at the resort for our anniversary since we have been married. I am stoked!

I think this is awesome and I think will generate more reviniew for Disney becasue the whole family will come to buy tickets. Plus it will generate more crowds on week days.

But in all the years I have gone to Disney for my birthday I think only once have i gone on my real birthday. And this year my birthday is on a Wendnesday. I'll have to go after school.
