Best-known for his best-selling books like "Jurassic Park," and its sequel "The Lost World," which were made into a successful movie franchise, Michael Crichton has sold more than 150 million books worldwide.

Wow, this is a shame. I always found his books so engaging and just finished reading Next. I will miss new stories from him.

Sad, really sad. I loved Prey, that was a really good one, and of course, Jurassic Park.

He will be missed, and have to include one of his first movies, and one of my favorites, "Westworld".

Oh come on!! I was just getting really into his work too! Finished Jurassic Park last week, almost done with The Lost World right now, Prey was amazing, as was Timeline. He was a brilliant writer and the world is going to miss him.

I remember accidently picking up Jurassic Park from a Book of the Month club by accident (I had meant to fill in another dot in the catalog) and ended up reading it anyways.

And I was hooked.

He will be missed.

The Lost World is on my top 5 books I love and I'ce read it over 4 times. Its a real shame.
