Re: 'Pushing Daisies' might not get pickup

I would be depressed if the show went off air....there have been talks of season 3...but they may not continue the season out and instead ABC may be picking up scrubs in its place...I would rather have Pushing Daisies...if your couldn't already tell from my sig and avatar

Scrubs lost it's funny two years ago. It's just like them to go with easy to produce sustained mediocrity than take any chances with true brilliance.

And the big three still wonder why cable channels are kicking their butts...

Hopefully, ABC will keep it's faith in the show. It's the best show on TV IMO.

I just hope that if ABC doesn't see how great this show is that somebody else will. The CW, even TNT, TBS, etc would be fine with me.

I've thought about this too. It might fit in well on something like USA. Quirky characters solving mysteries?

Yeah, and I'm pretty upset because our DVR didn't record the show last night.

'Eli Stone,' 'Dirty Sexy' may be axed

ABC dramas likely won't be renewed

Frosh ABC drama 'Life on Mars' is expected
to land a new timeslot in January.

By Cynthia Littleton
Variety

Quote:
ABC sophomore dramas "Dirty Sexy Money" and "Eli Stone"are expected to sign off for good soon.

Meanwhile, Alphabet's frosh drama "Life on Mars" has earned an order for four more episodes and will land a new timeslot in January behind "Lost."

Also as part of ABC's January makeover, "private Practice"will shift into the post-"Grey's Anatomy" slot on Thursday vacated by "Mars."

ABC and ABC Studios declined comment Thursday about the fate of "Dirty Sexy" and "Eli," but word is they will not be renewed after finishing their 13-seg orders for this season. That's the same fate that awaits another struggling ABC sophomore, "Pushing Daisies" (Daily Variety, Nov. 14). In their most recent airings, "Dirty Sexy" and "Eli" both garnered less than a 2.0 rating in the adults 18-49 demo.

The reality-bending "Mars" is set to move to the Wednesday 10 p.m. berth Jan. 28 following the return of "Lost" (which opens Jan. 21 with back-to-back segs).

Re: 'Pushing Daisies' might not get pickup

So were watching Grey's last night, and they keep showing these commercials for yet ANOTHER fashion show, inner-beauty or something like that. REALLY ABC. Your taking off these shows to put THIS crap on.

Sources: Daisies, Stone and Dirty Sexy Canceled

By Kristin Dos Santos Thu Nov 20, 4:47 PM PST

Quote:
ABC has canceled Pushing Daisies, executive producer Bryan Fuller confirms to me exclusively.
According to reports, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money have also been canceled, but reps for both shows have declined to comment.
Is the pie-maker dead? Will we ever see him again? Read on for the exclusive inside dish straight from the top...
Bryan Fuller tells me, "[ABC president] Steve McPherson called me, and said 'We gave it the best shot we could.' "
According to Fuller, the facts are these: "It's very likely that Pushing Daisies will end after episode 13, which as you know, is a cliffhanger. But we are talking to DC Comics about doing comic books that will wrap up our storylines, and I already have a pitch for a movie ready to go.
"To be honest, I'm really not feeling very boo-hoo about it. I am so proud of the show. We put together 22 really good episodes, and there is a lot to be proud of. I'm sure I'll be working with a lot of these people again, and I would love to do so."
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
