Disney seizes 'Annoying Man'

Studio buys spec script from Kopelow, Seifert

Disney has invited "The World's Most Annoying Man" to the studio, buying the comedy spec script from Kevin Kopelow and Heith Seifert for Andy Fickman to produce.

In the vein of "Trains, Planes and Automobiles," plot revolves around a man who is forced to travel cross-country with his annoying brother in order to make his own wedding.

Kopelow and Seifert are currently co-executive producers on Disney Channel's new series "Jonas," starring the Jonas Brothers.

Kopelow was a writer on Nickelodeon's TV series "Keenan & Kel" and penned the feature comedy "Good Burger," while Seifert also wrote for the kids cabler's shows "Keenan & Kel" and "All That."

Fickman will produce the comedy through his Oops Doughnuts shingle with partner Betsy Sullenger.

Fickman most recently helmed "Race to Witch Mountain" at the Mouse House, which will unspool next year, starring Dwayne Johnson. He also helmed the comedies "The Game Plan" and "She's the Man."
