Re: 'Wall-e' honored by National Board of Review

Disney had two movies up for best animated feature, Pixar's robot comedy Wall*E and its home studio's deluded dog adventure Bolt. DreamWorks' Kung Fu Panda was the other nominee.

Andrew Stanton, the director and co-writer of Wall*E, says the Pixar team will "pop a bottle of champagne" to celebrate but notes bittersweet feelings since they hope to get the film recognized in best picture categories. "There's definitely a conflict in the sense that you try so hard to have no reason to separate it from the flock, but at the same time that's just the way it has to be applied and entered into the categories for this particular event, and that's fine."
