You mean Shopaholic, right?

I'm on the fence about the deal, but I'm loving the idea of the Master Mind movie! Sounds hilarious!!

Re: DreamWorks close to Disney deal, Spielberg's company to leave Universal

Dreamworks Animation is a separate company that went public a number of years ago. This deal is not related to this company.

Roger Rabbit is co-owned by Disney and Amblin Entertainment. Amblin is Spielberg's other production company. Not sure what relationship Amblin has with Dreamworks other than through Spielberg.

It wouldn't surprise me if part of the negotiations were to include greater control of Roger Rabbit by Disney.

Interesting developments.

Well Iger did get Oswald back through a football trade with NBC Universal. So it is possible. Roger's time has come, for a comeback.

So does this mean that the live action Transformers films be distributed under the Disney label?

No. Transformers will stay at Paramount.

Thanks for the clarification about the animation stuff guys.
I hadn't noticed that part being discussed so I wasn't sure if it was included or not.

Spielberg Deal With Disney for 6 Years, 30 Films, FT Reports

By Sylvia Wier

Feb. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Filmmaker Steven Spielberg is close to announcing a six-year, 30-film distribution deal with the Walt Disney Co., the Financial Times reported, citing no one.

The deal may be announced as soon as tomorrow, the newspaper said. Cash is involved in the transaction, though it will be in the form of a loan rather than an equity stake, the newspaper said. The FT put no value on the transaction.

Re: DreamWorks close to Disney deal, Spielberg's company to leave Universal

From today's Wall Street Journal:

"Walt Disney Co. has agreed to a movie-distribution deal with Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks SKG...[¶] ...Disney will market and distribute six live-action DreamWorks films per year, the first coming in 2010. Disney will also likely provide upward of $150 million in financing...and will also give Mr. Spielberg's studio access to programming opportunities on Starz Entertainment, the cable channel with which Disney has a paid-television deal..."
