Pssst! Save the date. Mark your calendar. May 21st, Woodbury University in Burbank @ 7:30PM. ASIFA-Hollywood is organizing a reunion/panel discussion/party to commemorate the 20th anniversary of The Little Mermaid.

Character animator Tom Sito will moderate a panel consisting of Mark Henn (Ariel), Andreas Deja (King Triton), Ruben Aquino (Ursula), Tina Price (CAPS system and early CGI) and Gary Trousedale (storyboards) - with many more guests and panelists to be announced.

I totally agree! I remember going to the local theater to see this with my sisters when we were younger. Like everything else, it seemed just like yesterday or the day before.

Reservations are not required for this event. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Members of ASIFA-Hollywood and students of Woodbury admitted free; non-members $10. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Parking is free. Woodbury University is located at 7500 Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank, CA 91510-7846.

Proceeds from this program will benefit the ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive.

I REALLY want to see this, but since I live on the east coast...All I can do is PRAY that someone can film this and upload it...I'm an UBER pissed that I can't see this!

It won't be the same without you or CB there but I plan on attending. Hoping to meet Mark Henn and thank him for his incalculable contributions to animation. Anticipating some terrific anecdotes to bring back here for everyone.

Hopefully ASIFA will tape it (can't imagine they wouldn't) and post it on their site.
