Re: Showest: 'Up', 'Beauty' & 'Toy Story' 3D & more!

The digital 3D of today is so much more than the 3D of just a few years ago. I work in the film industry, in production technologies. I have been literally bombarded with massive interest and questions by big name producers and directors every year at our booth at NAB. We are one of only a handfull (and also the first) of companies that produce HD DDRs that can handle stereo-scopic ingest in uncompressed 10-bit 2k. It is far more than a gimmick now, and the technology has progressed to the point where the 3D is life like, vibrant, crisp and doesn't cause eye-strain or motion sickness...as much anyway. The 3D market will continue to grow, as directors continue to explore the new technology as an added layer to the movie going experience.
