NEW YORK (AP) -- Jann Wenner, the magazine entrepreneur who founded Rolling Stone, has bought out The Walt Disney Co.'s 50 percent stake in Us Weekly magazine for $300 million.
Wenner brought in Disney five years ago as a partner as he made a major investment in the magazine and revamped it from a monthly to a weekly format. Many were skeptical at the time that the investment would pay off.
