| Dreamworks Hops on British Animation Train - Cinematical 05/12/05 Article from Cinematical - May 12, 2005 Dreamworks Hops on British Animation Train Quote: |
Dreamworks announced several projects this morning in Cannes, including an animated pic about culture-clashing cavemen scripted by Monty Python's John Cleese. That film, a collaboration with British-based Aardman Studios, will be called Crood Awakening, and should be ready for release in 2007. Dreamworks has two additional Aardman-associated projects in the works: Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit will open in October, and Flushed Away will feature CGI-sewer rats, voiced by Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet. "It’s time to bring rats center stage," said Aardman co-founders David Sproxton and Peter Lord. Rat fans will have to wait until November 2006 for that one.
