The program is being updated to also perform commitment ceremonies at it's North American Parks and on the Disney Cruise Line. Disney had previously allowed couples to have Vow Renewal ceremonies but not the full wedding packages since they needed a "Valid" marriage license, which same-sex couples cannot get in Florida or California. Disney Fairy-Tale Weddings start at around $8,000. |

I don't want to be cynical, but it seems that they were realizing how much money they were missing out on, and decided to make the change based on that, instead of doing the right thing, from early on. Don't misunderstand me, I think this is long overdue, but I am disappointed that there was EVER a time when they would not allow same-sex weddings.
