W. Oberleitner September 11, 2006 Despite a rising tide of protest over the accuracy of its six-hour $40 million dramatization of the events that lead up to the attacks of September 11, 2001 ABC Sunday ran part one of The Path to 9/11 with only a few edits and nearly all of the film’s most controversial scenes still intact. Immediately following part one of The Path to 9/11 the alphabet network ran a special edition of the ABC News program Nightline, which virtually contradicted all of the film’s disputed scenes. ![]() | Re: 09-11-06 Disney and ABC Air “Fictionalized” 9/11 Docudrama and Contradictory Nigh Disappointed, seriously. I expect entertainment from Disney not political smear campaigns and revisionism. Bob Iger using Disney as his personal bully pulpit can only mean we're in for yet another Eisner experience where a Disney President becomes more interested in pushing his personal brand of Social Engineering than running the company as an entertainment conglomerate. I will have a lot more troubling Bob Iger seriously now. And as long as his agenda is partisan politricks and smear campaigns over the parks and studio I'll never believe another word he has to say. If this is Roy E. Disney's idea of saving his uncle and father's vision and company he failed miserably. We've already discussed not buying Premium Annual Passes nor making reservations in TDR for Summer or Christmas 2007. I hate it when a company I love puts me in such an uncomfortable position, but someone in this country has to stand by their principles, if not "We the People..." then who?
